ABOUT THE RUN -
The Bone to Run 2015, Charity Fun Run is a fun themed run, in aid of the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital’s Needy Cancer Patients Fund.
The Needy Cancer Patients Fund was set up with the main aim to provide medical subsidy to deserving and needy cancer patients. Despite the escalating treatment cost of cancer, the hospital has always ensured that each patient is given the best possible treatment option regardless of age, race, religion, or their financial status. Last year, a total of RM1,112,709.00 was disbursed out in aid of the needy cancer patients.
All participants are encouraged to run with a given yellow helium balloon tied onto their wrist, in-conjunction with the international bone cancer awareness month. The colour yellow is the official colour for bone cancer awareness.
